This initiative fosters cooperation between African countries by providing opportunities for African students to pursue postgraduate studies in a different African country, allowing them to immerse themselves in each nation’s richness and diversity.

Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for a MINDS scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be a national of an African country residing in any African country.
  • Have been formally accepted by one or more MINDS-preferred institutions outside their country of citizenship or residency.
  • Have been formally accepted to pursue postgraduate studies within the following year.
  • Have obtained at least 70% in each subject or course in the last two years of study.
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities as outlined in the application form.
  • Submit a complete online application form with the required supporting documentation.

 

Benefits of the 2024 MINDS Scholarship

The scholarship covers tuition, accommodation, meals, one return ticket per duration of studies, and a fixed stipend. The extent of coverage depends on whether a partial or full scholarship is awarded.

 

Required Documents

Applicants must submit the following documents in PDF format, each not exceeding 2MB:

  • Copy of the passport’s data/bio page.
  • Certified academic transcript/results slip of the last two years of study.
  • The university’s official acceptance letter states the degree, academic year, and course duration.
  • Copy of a valid study permit or visa (optional).
  • Detailed CV or resume (not more than four single-sided pages).
  • Two reference letters (not more than 3 pages each) addressing integrity, competency, potential as a leader, and commitment to African continent development.
